Stuttgart:
Established in the early 1870s, Stuttgart became home to several early settlers. When the Rock Island Railroad made its way through the Northwest and platted a station in Stuttgart, the community thrived. The railroad provided the settlers with an opportunity to earn some money in which they could improve their living quarters.
On February 6th, 1888, Stuttgart was founded. The name Stuttgart was taken from the town of Stuttgart, Germany, which many of the pioneers originated.
