The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) safely administers prescribed medications to residents in a nursing home under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include following medication administration protocols, monitoring residents for side effects, documenting medication records accurately, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions. The CMA also supports daily care activities, maintains a clean and safe environment, and promotes residents’ comfort, dignity, and well-being.
