As the Assistant Director, you'll work closely with the Center Director to support teachers, connect with families, and help manage the day-to-day operations of our center. If you love working with children and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to meet you! 🧸 What You’ll Do: Help oversee daily operations like scheduling, enrollment, and staff support Assist with hiring, training, and supervising our amazing teaching team Support classroom activities and help maintain a strong educational program Communicate with families and build positive relationships Ensure we meet all Kansas licensing and safety requirements Step in for the Director when needed to keep things running smoothly 💛 What We’re Looking For: A warm, friendly personality A team player who loves working with children and staff Someone who is dependable, proactive, and passionate about early learning 💛 Qualifications: One of the following (A) Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree in early childhood, child development, or a related academic discipline from a regionally accredited college or university AND three months of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children OR (B) Bachelor’s degree in a non-related academic discipline from a regionally accredited college or university AND any of the following options: (i) 6 months of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children; (ii) 12 semester hours of academic study or equivalent training in early childhood, child development, or a related academic discipline; (iii) child development associate credential; or (iv) technical certificate or diploma in early childhood OR (C) Associate degree in early childhood, child development, or a related academic discipline from a regionally accredited college or university AND 6 months of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children OR (D) 12 semester hours of academic study or equivalent training in early childhood, child development, or a related academic discipline from a regionally accredited college or university AND any of the following options: (i) 6 months of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children; (ii) child development associate credential; or (iii) technical certificate or diploma in early childhood (E) Child development associate credential AND one year of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children OR (F) 6 years of experience in early childhood education providing direct care and supervision to children OR 4 years of experience in a licensed facility providing direct care and supervision to children.
